Starling Trap for
Wood Duck & Kestrel Nest Boxes

The traps for Kestrel and
Wood Duck nest boxes should be installed in the same manner as the universal
trap. Each trap comes with a full set of instructions and templates.
On the Wood Duck Boxes you
may have to flatten the ladder and use longer screws. You also could have the
top 4 inches of ladder removable when you set the trap and replace ladder when
you have a nest of wood ducks being incubated.
The difference between the
Kestrel nest box trap and the trap for Wood Duck boxes. The Wood Duck traps
are made wider and of heavier gauge metal. It also has more spring tension and
a longer tripping lever. It doesn’t take much to trip either one, a sparrow
entering will trip either trap.
