The hole in the wood is 1-1/2" with a steel plate reducer inside box to 1-1/4".
The sparrow trap box has a keyhole metal bracket on top making it easy to hook on a nail or screw. Simple to move from one location to another for sparrow control. Hang trap box in areas where sparrows like to nest such as barns or other farm buildings, public or private parking garages, building eaves, marquees, residential areas, or anywhere sparrows are a problem. Works in either enclosed or open areas. The wooden trap box looks like a normal birdhouse. Inside it has a spring-loaded door which snaps shut when a sparrow enters the house trapping the sparrow within the box. The sparrow trap does not kill any bird. A fluorescent orange sticker alerts you when the trap has been tripped. The hole opening is 1-1/4 inches, which is a correct size for sparrows. Overall dimensions: 9-1/2"H x 5-5/8"W x 4-1/2"D. Pulling a pin located on the side of the box releases the front door of the trap box. Comes with instructions and suggestions for removing a trapped bird.
